DESCRIPTION:Overview\nPhysical Literacy is a holistic concept which is gaining international traction and momentum for those involved in delivering or facilitating movement and physical activity experiences. \nOnline Course: November 10th and 17th\, 2026\nYou must attend both sessions to complete the course. 5.30 – 8.30 pm (UK) \nCPD: CIMSPA credits: 6\nCourse Fee: £170.00 per person including one year membership to IPLA*\nCourse Duration: 6 hours \n*for organisations looking to deliver courses for dedicated groups\, please contact us. \n  \nWho is the ‘Training for Physical Literacy Informed Practice’ beneficial for?\nThe workshop will be beneficial for anybody who designs\, plans and delivers movement and physical activity experiences in out-of-school or community settings and wishes to demonstrate competence against the CIMSPA physical literacy professional standard. \n  \nCourse description\nThis interactive course will encourage discussion and reflection on existing and future planning and practice. It will cover the following topics: \n\nWhat and Why Physical Literacy\nPhysical Literacy Key Principles\nInfluencing Experiences of Physical Activity\nApplying the Principles of Physical Literacy Informed Practice\n\n  \nLearner Pre-requisites\nThe course will be delivered in English\, so a good command of English will be necessary.\nThe online course requires verbal and text contributions\, so an appropriate device and suitable Wi-Fi will be essential \n  \nLearner Support\nPlease let us know if you need any specific assistance to access this course and help us understand how we can support you to be fully engaged. \n  \nAssessment\nThere is no formal assessment included. The intention of the training is to challenge participant thinking\, increase knowledge and understanding of the concept and leave participants with the volition to embed physical literacy into their practice. As part of the professional discussion participants will be encouraged to make appropriate\, sensitive and informed judgements / recommendations that support the assessment of or the charting of Physical Literacy progress.
