IPLA is really excited to have an MOU with Change the Game, Sweden. We have been aware of the excellent work that Change the Game has been doing over the last ten years in promoting physical activity and physical literacy within the community of Umea in Sweden. This work has now grown to an international level and a wider range of opportunities, that link the work of both organisations, has developed more recently. Both parties agreed that it would be mutually beneficial to look to work more collaboratively over developments related to creating engaging physical activity environments, promoting Inner Development Goals, and sharing the concept of physical literacy within the wider community.
Jonas Olsson, Chairman of the Board, and founder of “Stiftelsen för rörelserikedom” (Foundation for Physical literacy, said that ‘We are very happy to have this collaboration in place. It feels like a very honorable confirmation that as a knowledge organization we not only can make an important difference locally and nationally here in Sweden but can also contribute internationally’.
This strengthens Change the game’s capacity to be able to help those leaders and organizations who are curious about new approaches to movement as a way to strengthen and develop communities and organizations as well as individuals, said Tom Englén, director Change the game.
