Choosing PHYSICAL LITERACY FOR LIFE

Our downloadable guide to physical literacty, provides an easy-to-read introduction to physical literacy.

Covering core statements and expressions of physical literacy, as well as the physical literacy engagement model, this provides a simple introduction for colleagues, peers and students.

Physical literacy CONSENSUS STATEMENT

The Physical Literacy Consensus Statement for England, developed with Sport England, Liverpool John Moores University and the IPLA, to facilitate a shared understanding of physical literacy for those working in the sport, education, physical activity, recreation, play, health and youth sectors. The statement brought together more than 50 organisations from the world of sport, health, education, academia, and community sectors came together to ‘unite’ perspectives on physical literacy.

Liverpool John Moores University led the work on developing the Consensus Statement and more detail on the process can be found on the their website.
