Opportunity to Lead Physical Literacy Implementation

The International Physical Literacy Association (IPLA) is pleased to share an exciting opportunity from our colleagues at Leeds Beckett University.

A 30-month fixed-term role is now open for a Physical Literacy Lead, based at a forward-thinking through school in North Leeds. This position has been created as part of a successful Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) bid, offering a rare opportunity to bridge academic research with real-world impact.

The role will focus on the enactment of Physical Literacy across the school and its wider community, embedding meaningful and sustainable change in how physical literacy is understood, delivered, and experienced by pupils and stakeholders alike.

This is an excellent opportunity for those working in or with schools—educators, researchers, or practitioners—who are passionate about physical literacy and its potential to transform lives through physical activity and holistic development.
